Nepal

Heading from Nepal, Amrita has been a dedicated student of Vrindaban Gurukul for the past 15 years and has been teaching younger students for the past 10 years. She has learned under the guidance of Pt. Hraiprasad Chaurasia and has accompanied him for various concerts.

Rahul Khirwadkar

India

Having found inspiration in his mother’s music, Rahul started learning Bansuri at the age of 10 from Mr Saleel Daate and kept taking classes from various teachers too. It was in 2013 that Rahul decided to learn under the guidance of Pandit ji and since then has been performing and teaching across India.

Vaishnavi Joshi

India

Vaishnavi is a dedicated student of Vrindaban Gurukul, pursuing Bansuri for past 8 years under the guidance of Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia. She has also completed her Visharad and has been awarded Jaipur Gems Scholarship in the year 2020. She continues to perform at Indian Classical Concerts.

Bharat Raj, a young Indian Musician from Jodhpur is trained in Indian Classical music and Bansuri under the guidance of Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia at Vrindavan Gurukul. He has received the ‘Visharad Purna’ Achievement from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai, 2019. He was also awarded the Certificate of Appreciation from the Government of Rajasthan, Udaipur 2017.

Chandrashekhar Gandhi

India

Born in a family rich in music, Chandrashekhar Gandhi initiated his training in Tabla from a tender age of 4. Today, Shekhar is learning under the tutelage of Pt. Yogesh Samsiji one of the leading musicians of the Punjab Gharana. Shekhar has completed his Sangeet Visharad from Gandharva Mahavidyalay and has performed in many prestigious festivals all over the country. Some of which are Dadar Matunga Cultural Center, Gomantak Maratha Samaj, Panvel Cultural Centre, Saptak Festival at Ahemedabad , Maharashtra Times Carnival, Kalayatan-Gujarat, Goa Kala Academy, etc.

Vaibhav Kadam

India

Having imbibed musical instincts from the tender age of 7, Vaibhav has been under the patronage & guidance of prominent contemporary Tabla Gurus and Artists. At present, Vaibhav is under the discipleship of the legendary Tabla Artist & Guru of this era, Pt. Yogesh Samsi. He has been accoladed by many laurels and awards including the 1 st Prize at the prestigious Pt. Ram Marathe Smriti Spardha, 2011. Having performed at many distinguished events including the Vasantotsav & the Sharda Utsav, Vaibhav has accompanied many acclaimed & senior artists like Pt. Dhruba Ghosh, Pt. Murli Manohar Shukla, Pt. Sharad Sathye, Vidushi shubhada paradkar,Shri Suresh Wadkar, Shri Tushar Bhatiya & Shri Ashok Patki, to name a few.

Stephanie Bosch

Germany

Stephanie Bosch is a disciple of Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia since 1998. She then absolved an intensive training under his tutelage in Rotterdam and Mumbai, highly appreciated with a summa cum laude Master’s degree and a scholarship for exceptional artistic qualities. Stephanie has performed in Europe, and was invited several times to India as well as Pakistan. As one of the first non-Indian musicians she was invited to India to play at “Idea Jalsa” by Durga Jasraj.

Ofra Avni

Israel

Ofra Avni from was already an established silver flutist when she was captured by the Bansuri and the magical music of Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia. A disciple of Hariji since the year 2000. Under his blessed guidance she completed with excellence first and second degrees from the Rotterdam Conservatory (WMDC) in 2007. Since her graduation Ofra performs concerts of Indian classical music as well as taking part in various musical projects. She is also a very experienced teacher teaching Bansuri and Indian classical music both privately and also in notable institutes as Tel Aviv University and Rimon School of music in Israel.

Yuka Nagai

Japan

Originally from Japan, Yuka has been learning Bansuri under the guidance of Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia since 2012. She is also a writer and teacher of Yoga Philosophy.

Nicolo Melocchi

Italy

Nicolò Melocchi is an Italian musician and now a recognized performer in Europe for Indian classical music and for the Bansuri flute. A disciple of Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia for a decade now, Nicolò divides his time between India and Italy while continuing to give concerts and workshops. In 2019 he was nominated by the Hyderabad Rotary Club as the finest exponent of Indian classical music and was granted to him the “Pandit Jasraj Award” for Cross Cultural Achievement. In addition to giving concerts both as a solo performer and in instrumental ensembles too, Nicolò often accompanies his maestro on tour in India and Italy for performances in many important venues.

Aura Rascon

Mexico

Aura Rascón is a Mexican / Dutch flutist and composer coming from a background in traverse flute and music pedagogy in Western classical music (BA from the University of Sofia, Bulgaria). Being the first formal disciple from Latino-America of Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, she learned formally from him at the Conservatory of Rotterdam (BA & MA), The Netherlands, and traditionally at Vrindaban Gurukul in India. She has been privileged to accompany her Guru in concerts in Europe, USA, Latino America and India. She has toured extensively as well with her own projects.

Amos Aaronson

Israel

As a member of a musical family, and started playing wind instruments as a child, as a youth listening to recordings of Indian masters made him interested in Hindustani music. Since 2007 he started studying Bansuri under the guidance of Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia and completed studies of Music bachelor at the Rotterdam conservatory (The Netherlands) and has continued studying for 5 years at the Vrindaban Gurukul in Mumbai and Bhubaneswar. Since 2016 Amos resides in Kiryat Tivon, a town in the North of Israel, where he teaches Bansuri and music.

Krista Joonas

Estonia

Krista Citra holds a M.A. degree in western classical music on Saxophone and has been a student of bansuri at Vrindaban Gurukul, Mumbai since 2006. She teaches bansuri and Indian classical music in VHK Music-school and in the World Music Department of Georg Ots Music College, Tallinn, Estonia and has been performing concerts all around Europe.

Ron ‘Shpatz’ Cohen

Israel

Disciple of Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia for the last 24 years. Studying with Guru ji for so many years has enriched my life and my music. Ron performs and teaches Indian Classical Music regularly in Israel and in other countries. He also collaborates with many different musicians in cross cultural projects and active in academic research in the field of world music analysis.

Digvijay Singh Chauhan

Digvijay Singh Chauhan is a dedicated student of Bansuri, trained under the guidance of Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia at the Bhubaneswar Gurukul. He holds a degree in Engineering and teaches and performs all across India.
